Auth failed

Hey guys.

I bought two copies of the game to plan on my LAN at home... last week the second computer had no problem connecting but this week I'm getting an error saying auth failed and something about getting a free key.... very confused cause it worked before and I've bought the game on steam so it should have the registration.
